Kooko Ebiye Thrown Into Mourning As Onikooko Of Kooko Ebiye, Ota, HRH Oba Joel Fashina Joins His Ancestors
Residents and indigenes of kooko Ebiye, in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of the state has been thrown into mourning as the Onikooko of Kooko Ebiye, Ota, HRH Oba Joel Fashina joins his ancestors.
In a statement written and made available to newsmen on Monday, the Oluwo of Kooko Ebiye, Ota, High Chief Olatunji Oyetoro, said Oba Joel Fashina breathed his last after a brief illness, while expressing sadness over the news.
He said that the late monarch, who reigned for almost a decade, left a vacuum which would be difficult to fill by family, kingmakers, baales and Kooko Ebiye community at large, praying God to repose the soul of the departed monarch.
VOA News report that Oba Joel Fashina, who was installed in February, 2017, reigned for 9 years plus and plans were underway for his 10 years coronation anniversary before his demise.
Meanwhile, condolence has started pouring in as kingmakers, baales and families have started sending in their condolence messages to the Onikooko in concil.
