Nscdc Arrests Two Women Over Alleged Fake Juice Factory In Badagry Lagos

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two women following a raid on an alleged illegal fruit juice production facility in Aradagun, Badagry, Lagos State.
The operation reportedly took place at about 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, following about five days of surveillance. The NSCDC said the facility was producing a drink branded “Barkas Juice” and alleged that the product contained water, sugar, colourants, dyes, additives and synthetic flavourings rather than real fruit.

The Corps also alleged that the facility was unregistered and that the product carried a purportedly fake NAFDAC registration number. Two women, aged 48 and 50, were arrested, while investigations are ongoing and the suspects are expected to face legal proceedings.

One of the women reportedly gave a different account, saying the business had been established by her grandmother and that efforts were being made to renew its NAFDAC registration.
