2026 Odun Omo Iganmode (Fashionista 2.0): Olota Unveils Planning Committee

The Olota of Ota and Arole Iganmode, HRM Prof. Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege has unveiled the 2026 Odun Omo Iganmode (FASHIONISTA 2.0) planning committee.

Speaking with newsmen on Monday, the Personal Assistant to the Olota of Ota and Omotobase of Ota, Awori land, Alhaji (Prince) Adeyemi Olusesi Sulaimon, said that Prince Rasaki Obasanya has been returned as Chairman of the Central Planning Committee.

Prince Olusesi added that the committee was inaugurated based on merit and the experience they have brought to bear in previous events.

“The committee’s composition, as approved by His Majesty, brings together individuals with diverse experience and proven commitment to the development of Otta and its cultural heritage”.

As gathered, members of the Iganmode Cultural Festival 2026 Central Planning Committee includes;

* Prince Rasaki Obasanya — Chairman

* Chief Mrs. Kafayat Olawunmi Dada (Dazar) — Vice Chairman

* Prince Kamardeen Ogungbayi- Secretary

* High Chief Iyabo Ahmed, Yeye Iwase of Otta

* Omooba Sesan Dada

* Omooba Abayomi Ahmed

* Hon. Mojeed Ajibose

* Prince Ayo Obalanlege

* Adeosun Islamiyat

“The committee is expected to bring its wealth of experience, expertise and commitment to bear on the planning and execution of the 2026 festival, proposed to hold from 11 to 19 December 2026, with the Jumat Service on 11 December, Church Service on 13 December, and Grand Reception on 19 December”. He added.

The theme, “Our Culture, Our Environment, Our Future,” seeks to promote greater environmental responsibility while linking the rich cultural heritage of Iganmode with the future development of the community.

The committee will be formally inaugurated soon at the Ipeti Royal Square, where members will receive their mandate and commence preparations for the festival. VOA News report.
