Nuhu Ribadu Begging U.S. To Help End Terrorism In Nigeria

An old video of Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA) to President Tinubu, has resurfaced online — showing him emotionally pleading with American officials to help Nigeria end the scourge of Boko Haram, banditry, and kidnapping. In the video, Ribadu passionately expressed his desire for Nigeria to become a “beautiful country” like the United States.

In his words:

“Let’s stop these terrorists, let’s stop these bandits, let’s stop these extremists — let’s stop them. The world can do it. Let us be given back our freedom; we want to live like the rest of the world. They have robbed us of our freedom to do basic things.”

Amid the recent news that former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed readiness to help fight terrorism in Nigeria and end the Christian genocide, many Nigerians have been debating America’s true intentions. Some believe the U.S. is only interested in exploiting Nigeria’s natural resources rather than genuinely helping to end insecurity.

However, this resurfaced video of Nuhu Ribadu — now serving in the APC-led Tinubu government — shows him at one point passionately pleading with U.S. officials to intervene and assist Nigeria in ending terrorism and banditry.
